Florence was born on November 11, 1940 to Louis and Nellie (Conroy) Walters at their home in Mapleton, MN. She married Daniel Gilster, and they had three children together.
Flo was known as a selfless person, always steering the conversation away from herself and asking how others are doing. Flo loved to go on vacations with her family. Her favorite place to go on vacation was northern Minnesota with Daniel and the kids. But she most enjoyed spending time at home, enjoying time with family and watching the birds and other wildlife.
Flo was an avid reader, loved cooking, and sewing. She was a spunky grandmother, calling herself “Grandma the Great”, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at church, and in later years, with friends she made at Silver Sneakers from the YMCA.
Flo is survived in death by her children Linda (Brent) Bergland, Cheryl (Jay) Enderson and Don (Darcie) Gilster. Grandchildren Josh Enderson, Alex (Paige) Enderson, Logan (Lauren) Enderson, Amanda (Brandon) Hansen, Cassie (Jacob) Wallin, and Seth Gilster. Great-Grandchildren Aubrey Enderson, Chase Enderson, Isla Enderson, Layla Enderson, McKenzie Enderson, Liam Hansen, LettieAnn Wallin, and Kip Wallin. Brother Ronald (Diane) Walters.
Flo is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Gilster, parents Louis and Nellie Walters, her seven brothers, three sisters, and many sister and brother in laws.
