Florence L Hegarty

Florence L. Hegarty, 95, of West Barnstable, passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 2, 2025. Loving wife of 76 years to John Hegarty of West Barnstable.

Born in Milford, MA, daughter of the late Aurele & Melvina (White) Breault.

Florence was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Waltham, she volunteered at the Head Start

Program for many years along with the Women's Guild at St George's Church in Framingham. She enjoyed going out to eat, traveling, going to a casino, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Robert Hegarty and his wife Paula of Beaverton, Oregon, Bruce Hegarty and his wife Donna of West Barnstable, Sharon Woodin of Hampden, MA, and Lisa Bolton and her husband Jeff of Holland MA. Her grandchildren, Gerrick, Gianna, Conor, Sean, Danielle, Tyler and Kate, along with her great grandchildren, Jicaiya, Aulii, Paikea, Jehru, Saoirse, Nolan, Emily, Olivia, Violet and Florence.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday November 13, 2025 at 11AM in Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main Street, Centerville, MA. Burial will follow in St Francis Xavier Cemetery.
