Florence Koreiwo

Florence Koreiwo, age 93, of Shelton peacefully entered into rest on Friday August 22, 2025 at Bishop Wicke Health Care Center. She was born in Shelton on December 18, 1931 the daughter of the late Julian and Jadwiga (Kowalewski) Koreiwo. She was a lifelong resident of Shelton and worked as an assembler for many years prior to her retirement. Florence loved the simple things in life, like going out to her "patch" of yard and feeding her beloved squirrel who showed up to greet her every day or taking her weekly shopping trips to Walmart and Shoprite where she was known as a regular. She also enjoyed spending time at the Shelton Senior Center where she was a member. Florence was predeceased by her siblings Joseph, Frank, Charles and Genevieve Koreiwo. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to her Memorial Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 am in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave. Derby. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton, has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
