Columbus, Mississippi - Florence Riedel Ladner, age 87 of Gulfport, MS, passed away on September 16, 2021, in Columbus, MS.
She was a native of Chicago, Il. She was a registered nurse and served in the United States Navy and retired from the Veterans Administration.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Ola Ladner, Jr; her father, George Riedel; her mother, Nettie Riedel; her brothers, Raymond Riedel and George Riedel, Jr; and her sister, Lucille Turngren.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Ladner Graves (James), of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Erin Graves and Bayleigh Graves; and nieces and nephews.
Florence was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved life and all its adventures, and cared deeply for her family both near and far. She loved quilting, painting, playing games and community service, and Volunteered with the St. Vincent De Paul Society, participated in many religious bible study groups, and was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Monday, September 27, 2021, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
