Dear Family and Friends,
It is with sadness that we share that Florence Loretta Bowman passed away on the morning of January 7th, 2022 at the age of 85 after battling several months of complications from being hospitalized for Covid in March of 2021.
Florence's zest for life will be remembered with love long after her passing. She made a big impact on people wherever she went with her wit and humor and the way she was able to make life seem lighter and happier. Her humor, positive outlook on life, and kindness and generosity toward others will be remembered by many.
Florence shared many years of love and happiness with her beloved husband, James (Jim) Bowman, before he passed in 2014. Jim and Florence had a very active social life. They had many friends and loved to travel. In their earlier years, they were very active playing in card clubs with friends, bowling in leagues, golfing, and Florence cheering Jim on while he played softball. Florence's biggest hobby, however, was Bingo. She loved playing Bingo and played in towns all over the country. She found a Bingo Hall in all the places she lived; Michigan, Kentucky, Florida and even the places she visited like El Paso, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada!
Florence was born in Towanda, Pennsylvania on September 14th, 1936. She moved to Warren, Michigan as a young child where she lived with her parents Frank and Julia Cody. She is survived by her daughters Loretta (Lorie) Cook, Theresa (Terri) Eichbauer, her son-in-law Kevin Eichbauer, Grandchildren Aaron, Elisa, Ryan and Great-grandchildren Luke, Cooper, and Madeline, her sisters Norma (deceased), Doris, and Katie, and many other beloved nieces and nephews all of whose lives were enriched by her presence.
