Florence LUK Obituary
Florence Luk, 94, passed away on August 31, 2015 after a life lived with enthusiasm, kindness and humor. She was born in Lawrence, MA the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (Talarska) Smitka. Her Polish heritage was always a source of pride. She attended Holy Trinity School and graduated from Lawrence High School. After her marriage to Albert Luk, she moved to Connecticut where she spent many years as a devoted stay at home mother to her son Albert Jr. She later worked as a CAN at St. Joseph's Manor in Trumbull, CT after which she retired to Jupiter. Florence loved gardening, reading, art, following world affairs and exploring local attractions. She was a gracious hostess to visiting family members. She was predeceased by her husband and son. Also by her sisters, Stella Russell and Laura Chesworth and nephews Richard and Edward Koffman. Florence is survived by nieces and nephew Robert Koffman (Lisa) of AL, Joyce Bodenrader (David) of MA, Janice Keene (Richard) of NH and Luanne Contois (Rick) of CT and Richard's widow Nancy of NJ. She also leaves behind her beloved companion, her cat Maggie and dear friends Robert and Carol Schmitt. There are no services as were her wishes.

Aunt Florence was the nicest person you can ever meet. We are going to miss talking to her every week. Thank you for everything you have done for us Aunt Florence.. I love you.. Your nephew Sean Luk and sister-in-law Maureen Luk.

Aunt Florence was my favorite Aunt. I loved her very much. Her and Uncle Al would visit every X-mas back in the 60's/70's and we always had great fun.. She was also the nicest person you can ever meet. I'm going to miss her very much. Love, her nephew Sean Luk..
