CRIDERSVILLE -- Florence Marie McClish, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2025, at the age of 90. She lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering dedication, and deep love for her family. She was married to Carrol Gene McClish on June 30.1950 whom passed on May 13, 1988. Born in 1934, the daughter of Raymond Biederman and Dorothy Walters of Grover Hill who are deceased.
Florence grew up with strong values rooted in humility, perseverance, and care for others. She spent much of her life balancing work and family, whether it was long hours on the farm, her years of service in the factory, or her time at Ex-Cello / Textron, where her steady hands and determined spirit were deeply respected by her coworkers.
Florence's life was not marked by grand gestures, but by the quiet, constant giving of herself to those she loved. Her heart was wide enough to care for not only her own children Carol Mondragon (Agustin), Donna Mooney (Michael), Robert McClish (MiMi), but also her grandchildren Jason Ewing, Jeremy Shirk, Curtis Mooney (Tammy), Kimberly Stewart (Ryan), Derik Mooney (Sarah), R. Anthony McClish, great-grandchildren, and stepfamily, each of whom she held dear. She had 2 deceased brothers, Donald Biederman of Ashland and Ralph Biederman of Texas with 3 half siblings Earl Biederman (Sandy) of Cocoa Beach Fla, Doris Anderson (Bill) of Dunnellon, Florida, and Karen Heff (Rich) of Covington, Ohio.
Other survivors are many loving cousins, nieces, nephews near and far.
She was the steady foundation for many-a woman who never hesitated to do what was needed, and who always offered warmth, wisdom, and a touch of humor to those around her. Florence's legacy is found in Sunday dinners, shared stories, and the values she passed down through generations.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of her life and love will remain with all who knew her, each of them carries a piece of her strength, generosity, and her love in their hearts.
