It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence Roberts, age 89, who peacefully left this world on May 10, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Florence was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Florence a lifelong lover of books, she found joy in the quiet comfort of reading and the stories that opened new worlds to her. She shared her life with many beloved pets, who brought her great comfort and always found joy in their companionship and gave each one a loving home and a place in her heart.
She also delighted in the simple pleasures of life-whether it was a lively card game at the kitchen table, tending to her blooming garden, or knocking down pins at the bowling alley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence DeLacy, her beloved husband, Robert Roberts and three granddaughters. Florence is survived by her three children, Donna (Phil) Stout, John Heffernan and Patricia (Thomas) Stevenson. Seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren, all of whom cherished her love and wisdom.
Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she lived a full, rich life and is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who passed before her. Her life was a beautiful example of grace, strength, and kindness.
A private memorial service and burial will be held to honor her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
