Florence Self Obituary
Decatur
Florence Lovelace Self, 84, of Decatur died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at River City Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Hot Springs, Ark., to John William and Emily McCord Lovelace Sr. She was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will not be held.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church or Friends of Delano Park.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Florence. I worked with Florence at Piping & Equipment and we formed a very good relationship and kept in touch for years. My Mom and I would see her out shopping nearly every time we were out and about. She was always so pretty, dressed so nicely, and seemed to be so happy all of the time. I remember her white Chevelle and saw it many times after she sold it. I always thought of her when I would see it in town. She will be greatly missed. I lost my own Mom 2 years ago this month and my Dad last November. It hurt me deeply to hear about Florence.
