Florence Katheryn (Katy) Stump, age 94, former resident of Leeton, Missouri, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Warrensburg Manor Health Care Center, Warrensburg, Missouri.

She was born the daughter of Oscar and Dorothy Smith on February 22, 1931. Katy attended school in Leeton, Missouri and graduated from Leeton High School.

She was united in marriage to Dean Stump on October 29, 1949. After Dean's passing she was then married to John Thomas, Sr. on February 28, 2004 in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Katy was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Warrensburg, Missouri. Katy worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for 30 years at the Western Missouri Medical Center. Katy spent her younger years participating in many organizations in the community.

In her retired years, she was a fierce card and bingo player, the latter even more enjoyable if she was playing for money. For many years, Katy was well known for her cake decorating side hustle. She always kept homemade cookies on hand for visitors big and little. Katy loved getting together with her family. Survivors include, Mike (Judy)Stump of Catoosa, OK; Nancy (Bill) Adams of Hamilton, MO; Marty (Teresa) Stump of Bolivar, MO; Sara (Joel) Belanger of Warrensburg, MO. Grandchildren; Greg (Tracey) Stump, Nathan (Jan) Adams, Niki (Corey) Lonjers, Brett (Kyli) Stump, Michelle (Ryan) Boyer, Melissa (Jeremy) Boucher, Bradley (Holly) Belanger, Robert (Hailey) Belanger and Victoria (Jamie) Long; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her brother and one grandson.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025, At Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Barbara Siney officiating. A graveside service will take place directly after the funeral service at the Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Warrensburg, Missouri.
