Thelma Florene (Stensrud) Siehlmann, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Marion, Iowa. Visitation will be held at Ramsey Reformed Church in rural Titonka, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 - 10:45 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at the Ramsey Cemetery. Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) has been entrusted with the services.

Florene was the daughter of Iver and Trena (Bang) Stensrud and was born in Joice, IA on August 20, 1932, and joined siblings, Bob, Howard, Rick, Iva, Maxine, and Jim. She graduated from Joice High School in 1950 and attended Lutheran Brethren Bible College in Fergus Falls, MN after graduation.

Florene was united in marriage to Bert Siehlmann on July 29, 1955, in Joice, IA. The couple lived in New Richland, MN before moving to Forest City in 1957 and remained in Forest City their married life. Florene worked for the Forest City Summit for 32 years before retiring in 1995.

A woman of faith, church was very important to her. She was a member of the Ramsey Reformed church in rural Titonka. She also enjoyed gardening and attending her grandkids' sporting events.

Florene is survived by two children: Beth and (Vern) Tjarks of Forest City, and Carol and (John) Gaffney of Robins, IA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Katie and (Marc) Lipovsky of Rochester Hills, MI, Erik and (Anessa) Tjarks of Los Gatos, CA, Jillian Siehlmann of Oviedo, Spain , Joe Siehlmann of San Diego, CA, and Luke and Gwen Gaffney of Robins. Seven great-grandchildren, Joslin, Henry, Oliver and Nora Lipovsky, Tristan, Hunter, and Evan Tjarks, and a brother Jim Stensrud of Amawalk, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Iver and Trena, husband Bert, son John, brothers Howard, Robert, Richard, and Maynard in infancy, and sister's Iva and Maxine.

Memorial donations may be sent to Ramsey Reformed Church, Titonka, IA.
