Floriada Marie Trujillo, at age 68, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. She was born on January 3, 1957, and spent her entire life in the place she loved most — Córdova, New Mexico.

Floriada was deeply rooted in her community and carried the spirit of Córdova with her wherever she went. She was known for her warmth, resilience, generosity, and the gentle strength she brought to every relationship, not to mention the beautiful voice you could recognize anywhere. Her presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and steady love to her family, friends, and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son who she deeply missed for 27 years, Donny Trujillo; her father, Esquipula Trujillo; her brothers David, Albert, and Pulita Trujillo; her brothers-in-law Mark Garcia and Leandro Baca; her nephew Kenny Trujillo; and her niece Nicole Baca. Maternal grandparents Israel and Cordilia Sandoval, Paternal grandparents Marcos and Hignia Trujillo. She was also preceded in death by her aunts and uncles Damian (Francis), Henry, Onivas (Ruby), Ruben (Mary) Sandoval, Bertha Sandoval, and Melaquias Martinez; as well as her cousins Roy, Ray Martinez, Debbie Trujillo, Robert, Steven Randy and Allen Sandoval.

Florida is survived by her loving mother Rosina Trujillo; siblings Angela (Manuel) Chavira, Michael (Clarita) Trujillo, Jennifer Baca (Peter Devargas), Ronald Trujillo, Denise Vega, and Reyes Trujillo; sisters-in-law Jolynn Mascarenas and Ester Manzanares. She leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: Marvin, Yvette, Quirino, Daniel (Stephanie) Martinez, Tristan (Jaclyn) Trujillo, Vanity and Shanie Baca, Fatima and Heaven Trujillo, Mark Ryan Garcia (Jessica), Alex Chacon, and Shania Trujillo. Her great-nieces and great-nephews brought immense joy to her life who often called her “Grandma Flo”: Vanessa, Dario, David, Bryan, Nadia, John, Jayden, Mariah, Jerry, Marianna, Ayesha, Kylie, Kayden, Kammeryn, Theodore, Trey, Mateo, Aiden, Alan, Allie, Zainah, Jolisa and Malory. Flo is also survived by her aunts and uncles Zebedeo, Danny (Yvonne), Pete (Nancy), Olivama, Elaine, Joyce Sandoval, and Benina Martinez. She also had several cousins who always held a special place in her heart .

She held close to her heart her Godchildren: Ryan Garcia, Vanity Baca, Michael Martinez, Karen and Sydney Quintana. Also not forgotten, her beloved fur babies — Gia, Ally, Snoop, and Haley — who were her constant companions and brought her comfort and joy every day. Floriada’s life was enriched by the love and friendship of her best friends Olivia, Allison, Elsa, Ernestine and Virginia, Claudine and Harold and many other friends who stood by her throughout her life.

She was a beautiful kind loving soul who centered life around trying to be the best mother and daughter. Florida was a proud graduate and a true Santa Cruz Crusader. Later on, she spent most of career as a cashier at numerous gas stations in the Espanola Valley and Ohkay Casino, along with also working at Los Cumbres.

Floriada will be remembered for her enormous heart, her fierce loyalty, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the lives she shaped, and the family she cherished.
