Florine Premnauth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Glenville Funeral Home - Glenville on Jan. 7, 2026.
Florine Emma Premnauth, affectionately known as "Peaches," was born on December 2, 1951, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Al and Alma Fowler. She was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by love, service, faith, and an extraordinary gift for caring for others.
Peaches devoted more than 20 years of dedicated service as a nurse at Columbus Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Nursing was not simply her profession-it was her calling. Through her compassionate spirit and tireless devotion, she touched countless lives. Beyond the hospital walls, she continued to serve others by providing private-duty care to family members and many in need, always offering comfort, dignity, and unwavering support.
A faithful servant of God, Peaches was a devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church for over 50 years. Her faith guided her life, and she lived it out through service, generosity, and love for her community.
Peaches was widely known for her warmth, hospitality, and incredible culinary talents. She catered and hosted countless dinner parties and fashion shows, filling every space with joy and togetherness. She proudly held the title of the best cook in the world-a title many would agree she earned. Those blessed to sit at her table will never forget her famous collard greens, her beloved sock-it-to-me cake, and her legendary banana pudding. Peaches was glamorous; she believed every sidewalk was a runway, dressing to the nines even for a quick trip to the corner store.
Peaches loved traveling and creating lasting memories, but nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. She doted on them endlessly and cherished every moment spent together.
Peaches leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Looknaught "King" Premnauth, whom she married in a private ceremony on December 31, 2003. The love King shared with Peaches could never be copied or duplicated. King loved his Peachy more than life itself. He promised that she would not leave this world alone and he kept his promise as she took her last breath in his arms.
Peaches will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, love, generosity, and unforgettable meals will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 6 sisters, She was predeceased by her parents and brother.
Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd, on Monday, January 12th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Funeral Service begins at 12 PM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Florine "Peaches", please visit our floral store.
