Floyd Douglas Baugus

Floyd Douglas Baugus, 77, of Wilson, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 23, 2025.  He was born on May 16, 1948, in Springfield, Arizona to Charles and Ethel McCoy Baugus. He was a loving husband to his wife Cathy Baugus for 52 years and a dad to his sons Shannon “Ducky Baugus and Chris Baugus. Floyd was a master gardener who loved planting and growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. He was also a craftsman who enjoyed building and creating things. He had a deep love for music that he shared with his family and friends. (Except for Garth Brooks) His laugh was contagious and that mostly came from his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Henry “Jangles” Baugus, Charles “Buiser” Baugus, Leonard Baugus and Bill Baugus and five sisters Martha Baugus Tipton, Goldie Baugus DeHart, Rosie Baugus DeHart, Violet Baugus Hurley and Ruby Baugus George. Floyd is survived by his loving wife Cathy Dian Warhurst Baugus of Wilson, Arkansas, two sons: Shannon “Ducky” Baugus (Regina) of Bassett, Arkansas and Chris Baugus of Little Rock, Arkansas, eight grandchildren: Trenton Baugus, Dylan Baugus, Lauren Baugus, Tyler Baugus, Evan Baugus, Bryce Bennett, Bret Bennett and Gerra Bell, nine great grandchildren Blayden, Oaklyn, Bo, Jhase, Tylee, Nolan, Merritt, Daxx and Knoxx and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12:00p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie, Arkansas with Reverend Hubie Tharp, officiating.
