Floyd was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 17, 1967 to Floyd Hoover Boyd and Irma Jean Boyd of Bulls Gap, Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd H. Boyd and sisters, Karen Sue Jones and Cathie Diane Cummings.
Floyd was a family man leaving behind his loving friend & wife of 30 years, Cynthia Boyd; his children, Tim (Belle) Boyd, Tenneil (JR) Boyd, Kyle Boyd, David Holley, and Jessica (Ted) Raisor; bonus child, Brandon Teague; grandchildren, Tressa, Alec and Kayllen McKnight, Tiani and Zaniah Lavy, Malcolm and Elspeth Boyd; great-grandsons, Cayson and Geoffrey; his loving mother Irma Boyd; brother, Rick(Cheryl) Boyd; special friends, Beau McKnight and Stephan Lavy; his sons-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews.
His dogs Chico and Jack were pampered by him as well as many foster dogs and neighborhood cats who knew the sounds of his car pulling up. Floyd was an incredible person, loved by all who knew him. He often dropped everything to help someone else. Floyd was a jack of all trades but, his passion was big trucks. He was a truck driver in early days. Present day, Floyd worked as a Master Hazmat Diesel Engine Mechanic along side his brother Rick at Boyd Pro Services. Lastly, he loved his wife and family. Special places in his heart were reserved for his grandkids. He had a soft heart but, tough love when needed. He was the rock of our family and will be greatly missed.
