Floyd Brouwer

Floyd "Flip" Brouwer, age 92, of Jenison, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2025. Floyd was a loving and devoted husband, a patient and wonderful father, a man of deep faith and unwavering service to his family, church, community and our country. He was preceded in death by his father John, mother Dena, brother Harv (Marian) and sister Alma DeKock (Lloyd). He is survived by his wife Anita; daughter, Pam VanKoevering (Cal); sons, Kevin (Joan), Joel (Shelly), Mark, Jack (Michelle) and David (Nancy). He was blessed with 28 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
A Life of Service
Floyd served honorably in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. Following his military service, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He enjoyed a 40-year career at Vari-Tech, where his expertise and hard work were highly valued.
A Heart for Others
A man of faith, Floyd was a charter member of Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church (CRC), where he served in various capacities. His commitment to serving others knew no borders. He went on numerous mission trips, serving six times in Nigeria and once in Malawi, sharing his skills and compassion around the world.
Closer to home, Floyd's generosity was boundless. He dedicated 25 years of his life as a volunteer at Love, Inc., demonstrating his steadfast commitment to helping those in need. Floyd Brouwer's goal in life was to glorify God in all that he did, showing this through his servant leadership, his devotion to God, his country, and his fellow man. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Arrangements
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 18, at 11:00 A.M. at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church. Visitation will be at Baldwin Street CRC on Wednesday, December 17, from 4 to 7 P.M. and on Thursday from 10 to 11 A.M. Baldwin Street CRC is located at 2101 Baldwin Street, Jenison, MI 49428.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Love, Inc. (Love Your Neighbor in Hudsonville, MI) or the Christian school of your choice.
