Floyd Deselm Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alternatives Cremation and Funeral Service - Oklahoma City on Oct. 23, 2025.
Floyd Othel (Tex) DeSelm Jr. was born on July 12, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Floyd Othel DeSelm Sr and Mildred (Mickey) Juanita DeSelm. He passed away on Thursday morning, October 23rd, 2025 at the age of 80. He passed peacefully into the loving arms of his father in Heaven and his "Little Bride" Judy.
Floyd attended Central High School, and in the late 1960's Floyd was the night league coordinator at the Rose Bowl in Tulsa. Not only was he an avid league bowler but he passed down his love for the sport to his son, Darin. He was even known to step out and go square dancing.
He spent most of his working life in the pipe fittings and valve industry working for Grinnell and was part owner of Fergusion Supply when he retired.
On March 21st, 1994, he married his "Little Bride" Judy and they were happily married for 24 years until her death in 2018. Their home was full of many memories of holiday gatherings with friends and family, playing cards or hunting easter eggs or lighting fireworks on the lawn. Spoiled dogs came and went from their lives, but the birds still live on. They cruised and went to auctions and after Judy passed Floyd rode his John Deere over his acre of land. He left this earth on his own terms, like he wanted.
He was pragmatic, thoughtful and stubborn. He loved his family and his college football. If you knew Floyd, then you know his two passions in his later years were his lawn and football.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy and his sister, Cheryl. He is survived by his sons; Darin DeSelm and his wife Regina; Brian DeSelm and his wife Chala. Stepson; Vincent Morse and his wife Denesa and Stepdaughter Kelly. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
