Floyd J. Fogleman, a devoted Christian, loving family man, and faithful servant to his church and country, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the age of 90.

He was born in Nash County on February 22, 1935, to the late Henry June Fogleman and Flora Lee Brown Fogleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; daughter Belinda Gay Fogleman; siblings Naomi Doby, George Fogleman, Bo Brown, Joyce Allen and Mamie Barber. A man of strong faith, Floyd loved his church and lived out his beliefs through kindness, compassion, and service to others. He was known by all who met him as a gentle, caring soul who always had a smile on his face.

Floyd was a dedicated and hardworking provider throughout his life. He spent many years employed at GKN, where his strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity earned the respect of coworkers and friends.

In addition to his civilian career, he honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Above all else, Mr. Fogleman will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his kindness to others, and the love he shared with family and friends. His life was a testament to quiet strength, humility, and devotion.

Floyd is survived by his son, Henry Fogleman of Sanford; two daughters, Donna Baker (Dewitt) of Sanford and Connie Flood (Keith) of Sanford; grandchildren, Lance Beal (Rachel), Dexter Beal, Kyle Flood (Madison), Ryan Flood, Conner Fogleman, Tyler Fogleman and Morgan Limer (Hunter); great-grandchildren Lane Beal, Henley Fogleman, Laken Limer, Grady Flood and Harper Fogleman and sister Sylvia Rumpka.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Turner's Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Neal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
