Floyd H. Overmyer, 70, of Lindsey, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
He was born on December 22, 1954 in Fremont the late F. Henry and Edith R. (Wammes) Overmyer, Jr.
Floyd graduated from Fremont Ross High School and Vanguard where he studied AG Mechanics in 1974. For over 40 years he worked for Martin Marietta doing various maintenance jobs until retirement in 2022.
He derived great joy from propagating and tending to his various plants, particularly his cherished heirloom tomatoes, which flourished in his garden. Additionally, Floyd had a creative spirit that shone through his woodworking. He spent countless hours crafting beautiful bowls and lamps, each piece reflecting his dedication and skill.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Karen (Tim) Paben, Cheryl Lynn Overmyer, Richard (Darlene) Overmyer, and Daniel J. Overmyer; brother-in-law, Steve Sanford; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Sanford; and infant brothers, Thomas and James.
At this time there will be no services held for Floyd.
Memorial donations in honor of Floyd may be made to the Sandusky County Dog Warden- Sick Dog Fund or the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
