Floyd Nykerk Obituary

Floyd Nykerk of Holland, Michigan passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 at Holland Hospital surrounded by family. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. Floyd was the proud owner of Nykerk Feed and Grain Company for over 30 years, as well as owning his own trucking company. He enjoyed trips to Florida with his wife during the winter months. Floyd was a proud Veteran as well as an honorable member of Christ Memorial Church.Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; Francis and Ruth Nykerk, wife; Marlene Nykerk, brother; Chester Nykerk, brothers in law; Theodore Schure and Robert Heiftjia. He is survived by his children; Marc (Carolyn) Nykerk, Jeff (Lonnie) Nykerk, Tasha Nykerk, sisters; Charlotte Heiftjia, Geraldine Schure, Elaine VoorHorest, Marilyn (Ron) Gebben, sister in law; MaeLee Nykerk as well as four grandchildren and one great-grand daughter. Funeral services (private-family) for Floyd will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4-5pm with visitation prior 2-4pm. Gene and I cherish the friendship/memories made with your folks after we became reacquainted 18 years ago in Bradenton, Fl. Your Mom was a "class of 1954" classmate of mine!!!! They liked to have a good time!!!! Nice photo of your Dad, just as we want to remember him.
