Floyd Robert Scott

Mr. Floyd Robert Scott, age 93 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, March 28th, 2026.

Mr. Scott was born on May 6th, 1932, in Gilmer County. The son of the late Joe Brown Scott and Ladena Champion Scott. He was a member of the Nine Mile Methodist Church but also attended churches of the Baptist faith. He was employed by the Georgia Forestry Commission, where he served for 35 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey Spivey Scott.

Survivors include Son: Barry Scott (Michelle), Tobaccoville, NC, daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda (Charles) Timms of Nelson, GA, Malissa (Ricky) Reece, of Talking Rock, Brother: Rev Roy (Isabelle) Scott, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, with several nieces and nephews that also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Floyd Scott will be held on Wednesday, April 1st, at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Spivey, Chris Spivey, Johnny Scott, Tommy Scott, Eddie Crump, and Chris Forest. All other nephews will be honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31st, from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Wednesday, April 1st, from 9:00 am until the service hour of 3:00 pm.

Food and Flowers will both be accepted in memory of Mr. Floyd Scott.
