Floyd Sullivan Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 16, 2025.
Floyd Sullivan, 88, of Fairview, Montana passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care in Sidney, Montana.
Floyd was born on November 19, 1936, in Fairview, Montana to Francis (Kannar) and Tom Sullivan. He grew up in Dore, North Dakota with loving parents, the youngest of eight siblings. Floyd went to school at Dore before eventually graduating from Fairview High School. Always finding work, he was able to rent land and farmed, eventually buying his own farm. In January of 1961, he married Eva Seader and three children were born to this union: Sharon, Mark, and Lisa. Floyd and Eva later divorced.
In December of 1988, a true love story began when Floyd married Linda Dean Rudolph. He gained a wife that adored him plus four more grown children: Bernie, James, Loren, and Deana.
Floyd held many jobs throughout his life. In winters when he couldn't farm, he worked in Holly Sugar as a welder. Eventually, he rented the farms out and worked for the Lower Yellowstone Irrigation Project for 17 years. He loved that job as he could be outside on the land and around the farmers.
Floyd and Linda loved to travel and had many fun adventures with family and friends. He loved playing cards. Not a day went by that he didn't thank God for the life, wife, and family God gave him. His love for the Lord and his family reflected in his kind, gentle, generous heart. Floyd had a great sense of humor, always joking right up to the end.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Linda; children Sharon Leach, Lisa Sullivan, Bernie Miles, James Rudolph, Loren Rudolph, and Deana Dejarlais; several grandchildren; and many other beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son Mark.
