Throughout his career, Floyd demonstrated remarkable skills as both a butcher and a carpenter, contributing to the communities he served with dedication and care. His work was not only a profession but a reflection of his commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
Floyd proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped him into the honorable man he became. His service is a testament to his strength and character, values he carried with him throughout his life.
Floyd's proudest accomplishment was his longevity, reaching the milestone of 100 years. This impressive age is a reflection of his vibrant spirit and the love he shared with family and friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife and his cherished son, Baby Ray Thomas. Although he has departed from this world, his legacy remains alive through the memories he created and the lives he touched. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will carry forth his spirit and teachings.
A Prayer Service for Floyd will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, on September 26, 2024, commencing at 7:15 PM. The Funeral Service will take place the following day, September 27, 2024, at Bethlehem Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11:00 AM, followed by his burial at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
Floyd Thomas will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
