Surviving are a son, Samuel Brookshire (Aysia) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; two daughters, Frances Snowden (Shane) of Roanoke, Virgina and Ivy Thomas of Homestead Florida; a brother, Henry Thomas of Alabama; a sister, Frances Thomas, of North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Alexander Brookshire and Samuel Brookshire.

Floyd was always there for me when I needed him, whether it was to give me firewood or fix my busted pipes in the dead of winter. He was a true friend indeed and could make me laugh even when I didn't want to.
I am truly sorry for your loss, he will be sorely missed!
