He was the beloved son of Jessie and Rosie Willis. Floyd graduated from Broad Street High School and soon after pursued a degree in auto mechanics at Coahoma Junior College. As years passed, he moved his family to Flint, Michigan, where he became known as a dedicated worker, contributing his skills in various manufacturing shops and as an auto mechanic, electrician and carpenter. Floyd was truly a man of many talents. He loved playing dominoes with family and friends, but he was especially known for his prowess in Spades and Tonk, often leaving others both impressed and laughing. He also enjoyed watching his favorite television shows, movies and talking on his phone. He always made time to check in on his loved ones. Whenever someone asked how he was doing, he would respond, "I'm blessed and highly favored." Floyd's happiest moments were when his children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and their friends gathered at his home, creating a warm and joyful family atmosphere. Even when he wasn't feeling his best, the presence of his family made him feel young at heart and inspired him to live fully. Mr. Floyd Lee Willis Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Denise Willis; 3 sons, Terrence Green Sr. of PG County, MD, Floyd Willis Jr. of Lansing, MI and Deshaun Powell of Chula Vista, CA; 2 daughters, Tasia Willis of GA and Sylvia Willis of Phenix City, AL; 7 grandchildren, James Gatlin, Tania Williams-Green, Terrence Green Jr., Mi'Yana Green and Messiah Green, all of Flint, Marionte Nappier and Jaffar Nappier of Georgia; 1 great-grandson, Ky'Cyer Nappier of Flint; Shirley Willis (ex-wife) of Shelby, MS, mother of Terrence, Demetrius and Tasia; 4 brothers, Robert Willis Sr. and JC Willis Sr., both of Flint, Sammy (Georgia) Willis Sr. of Belleville, MI and Jimmy Willis of Mount Morris, MI; 6 sisters, Ella Willis, Erma Willis and Annette Willis, all of Flint, Pasty Willis of Bronx, NY, Marshelia Willis and Jeanette Willis, both of Mount Morris, MI; 2 aunts, Willie Ann Shaw of Clarksdale, MI and Gladys Murphy of Decatur, IL; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special cousins, James King and Robert (Sherry) Buford.
