Frank Phillip Liberato Sr.

Frank Phillip Liberato, Sr. died Friday, December 26, 2025 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 87.
Frank was born on January 16, 1938 in Summit, NJ to the late Fannie (Camberlango) and John Liberato. He was raised in Summit and has resided in Millington since 1980.
He was a graduate of Summit High School, class of 1956, and attended classes at Seton Hall University.

Frank began his career as an accountant for Purolator Products in Rahway, NJ for 18 years. He then worked for the last 40 years at Jaeger Lumber in Madison where he truly cherished his time spent working alongside all the members of the Jaeger lumber family. Frank and his wife Dolores also owned and operated Liberato Liquors for 11 years in Hillside. He served in the Army National Guard from July 1956 - July of 1962 at the Morristown Armory serving as First Cook.

He was pre deceased by his loving parents John and Fannie Liberato, his beloved sister Joanne Glodek, his beloved brother Salvatore Liberato, his beloved Brother-in-law Richard Iannelli, and his beloved Sister-in-Law Margaret Iannelli.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife of fifty years, Dolores Liberato, loving father to Frank P. Liberato II and his wife Jessica, and beloved daughter Susan Liberato, and his loving granddaughter Samantha Liberato. He is also survived by his Loving sister-in-law Dottie Liberato and his Sister-in-Law Diane Shilanski and her husband Dennis Shilanski, his niece Lori and her husband Doug Rillo, his nephews John and his wife Virginia Liberato, Michael and his wife Uta Liberato, Joseph Glodek and his wife Caroline, Gregory Glodek and his wife Karen, Kevin Glodek and his wife Ruby, Richard Iannelli and his wife Eileen and Michael Iannelli and his wife Stephanie.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 1, 2026 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 2, 2026, 9:30 AM at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 306 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery, Summit, NJ.
