Joan McCloskey Obituary
Born in Westfield, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Jean (Millington) Hamm. Joan was a graduate of Westfield High School. She enjoyed working as a Purchasing Agent at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, for many years until her retirement. Joan was a member of the Meyersville Presbyterian Church in Gillette, New Jersey. While living in New Jersey, Joan owned a small Farmette and many horses, which she tended to with great care. She was also a proud member of the Environmental Advisory Committee.
Survivors: Cousins and their families, including Donald B. Brinton and his wife Debbie of Allentown; dear friends, Jim, Michelle and Jamianne Kelly of New Jersey; other extended family members and friends. Joan was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Hamm.
Services: There will be a private burial of Joan's urn at Schuylkill Memorial Park in Schuylkill Haven in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1350 Broadway, Suite 1530, New York, NY 10018.
