Fran Yost Obituary
Fran was born on August 3, 1940 in Star City, a daughter of the late Frank Samuel and Kathryn J. Lovio Oliverio.
Fran was a graduate of Morgantown High School. During her time in North Carolina, she was a beautician and had a Master's in Cosmetology. She was a prayer warrior and dearly loved the Lord, using her talents as an organist in the church to further her devotion to Him.
Fran is survived by her children, her twins Annette Webster (Mark) and Anita Tassi (Steve), Todd Yost (Lana), and Angela Thompson (Steve); her grandchildren Mark Webster, Jr. (Corey), Matthew Webster (Ally), Amanda Musgrove (Rob), Attila Tassi, Sydney Tassi, Adam Tassi, Alyssa Tassi (Matt) and Alex Tassi, Drew Yost (Charlotte), Josh Yost (Cassie), Shane Thompson, and Grant Thompson; great-grandchildren Ayla, Tyler, Emma, Danielle, Cooper, and two more great-grandchildren yet to be born and expected in May of 2024; her siblings Mena Ryan and Patty Reid (Herman), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Yost in 1979; her sister Jean LeFever, brother in law Richard "Dick" Ryan, and nieces Lynette Hare and Donna Kitzmiller.
Friends may join the family to honor Fran's life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover / Morgantown on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 pm officiated by Reverend Larry Morgan. Fran will then be laid to rest with her husband at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
Flowers are welcomed at the funeral home. However, if you desire, contributions in Fran's name may be made to Amedisys Hospice.
