Franceda “Frisky” Lachelle Buckner, age 61 of Cave City, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at the Signature Health Care of Hart County. She was a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
She is the daughter of the late Norman Wayne Embry and the late Lena Naydell Maxey Embry.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Jessica Driver.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher “Jordy” Maxey of Horse Cave, Kentucky, Carrington Maxey and His wife Kelly of Cave City, Kentucky; three grandchildren; Kyree Maxey, Journi Maxey, and Kentrell Smith. One God-daughter, Ameshia Edwards; two sisters, Jenese Coats and her husband Jon of Horse Cave, Kentucky, and Syvonnia Ford of Horse Cave, Kentucky; one brother, Freddy Maxey and his wife Victoria of Pace, Florida; four aunts, Earnestine Dixon and her husband Stanford, Lois Maxey, Phyllis Embry, and Wanda Dye; one uncle, Anthony Embry. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM CT on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Bearwallow Baptist Church. A homegoing service will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Bearwallow Baptist Church with Rev. Stanford Dixon and Rev. Shayne Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Baptist Church Cemetery. Brooks Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
