April 29, 1945 - February 13, 2026

Frances Kay Alexander, 80, of Beaumont, died Friday, February 13, 2026, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on April 29, 1945, to Bessie Crenshaw Mitchell and M.T. Mitchell, Sr., in Nederland.

Kay retired from Baptist Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department in August of 2008. After retirement, she enjoyed playing Tripoley and dominos with friends.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-years, Joseph Ronald Alexander, Jr.; sons, Brent Alexander and his wife, Kathy, of Lake Jackson and Steven Alexander and his wife, Alicia, of Kountze; sister, Milda "Dinky" Saeler of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Meghan Evans and her husband, Cody, of Aubrey; Trevor Alexander and his wife, Ciara, of Fort Worth; Emily Alexander, Lilly Alexander, and Anthony Alexander, all of Lake Jackson; Isabella Sparrow and her husband, Daniel, of Lumberton; and William Tucker and his wife, Kaylee, of Kountze; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers; and sisters.

A special thank you to Kay's niece, Sandy and her husband, Billy, and Kay's brother-in-law, Gerald, for the care, love, and support provided to Ronnie and Kay during the last few years.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or the American Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 299, West Orange, New Jersey 07052.

Mrs. Alexander's cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
