Mrs. Frances Barclay Arnold

Frances Barclay Arnold, 80, of Madison, Fl., passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Madison County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 20, 1945, in Madison, Fl., to Perry and Ellen Barclay.

After graduating from Greenville High School, she moved to Jacksonville, Fl., and worked at State Bank for three years. After meeting the love of her life, she moved back to Madison, where she lived and called home. For 35 years she worked as a secretary for Davis Enterprises. After retiring, she worked as a home health caregiver. She enjoyed the time she spent caring for others. She loved her family and always enjoyed the times she was able to spend with them. She was a member of Lee First Baptist Church. Her love for Jesus was evident in her loving, compassionate, and giving spirit, which will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John C. (Sonny) Arnold, Jr.; two sons, John C. Arnold, III and his wife, Gina, of Valdosta, Ga., and Chad Arnold of Madison, Fl.; two granddaughters, Kirbi Cook and her husband, Thomas, and Kerri Ann LaHood and her husband, Tyler, both of Valdosta, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Waylon LaHood, Levi LaHood, and Lilly Claire Cook; two sisters, JoAnn Byington of Valdosta, Ga., and Wanda Byington of Greenville, Fl; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Frances's life will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 235 NW Orange Avenue Madison, Florida 32340. The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel.
