Frances Irene Baltus, 84, of Greensburg, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Morning Breeze Healthcare Center in Greensburg. She was born on July 29, 1939 in New Marion, Indiana the daughter of Fred and Ida Marie (Schwer) Rubbe. She was born and raised in Ripley County and moved to Decatur County in 1948 and was a 1957 graduate of Jackson Township High School. She was a member of Waynesburg Christian Church, a member of the Pinnacle Home Economics Club and was affiliated and worked in the Letts Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed gardening, reading, shopping with friends and being with her family. Frances married Bertram Byron Baltus on September 29, 1957 in Greensburg. He preceded her in death on June 07, 2005. Survivors include her sons, Byron (Pam) Baltus of Greensburg and Rob (Tina) Baltus of Seymour; 3 grandchildren, Jason (Jenn) Baltus and Kirsten (Wim) Hulsbosch both of Greensburg, Clarissa (Grant) Rachford of Columbus; 5 great grandchildren, Addison Baltus, Lorelai Hulsbosch, Milo Huslbosch, Elliot Hulsbosch and Gavin Rachford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert Baltus and her brother, Hershel Rubbe. Graveside services for family and friends will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Mt. Aerie Cemetery with Pastor Chris Bell officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Letts Volunteer Fire Department or Our Hospice through the funeral home. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
