Frances Lee Barber was born on February 12th, 1939 in Lookout, West Virginia. Her parents, Helen and Percy Howell, lived in a beautiful home in the hills. In that home, they raised 5 children - 2 boys and 3 girls. Her sisters, Sue (Pete) Carillo, and Faye (Elza) Sebert, will continue the legacy of Fran's family name. Fran will be joining her parents and her brothers, John and J.H. Howell, in Heaven.

Frances traveled to many states, and settled in Ohio. She had 3 children with her husband at the time, Jim Nolan. Fran was a hard working woman. She handled a divorce, raising children, and numerous jobs all at once with absolute grace. When meeting her second late husband, Terry Barber, she knew she would be bringing 3 additional children into her life. She did so with open arms and loved expanding their family.

She is survived by her sons, Rick (Brenda) Nolan, Gary (Ari) Nolan, Wayne (Carol) Barber; and her daughters, Teresa Weber, Cindy (Bob) Richardson, and Lori (Bill) Dearth. Fran's niece, Brenda (Dick) Clark, viewed her as her own second mother and looked forward to summers with "Frannie Jean". She is survived by her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jen Weber, one of her granddaughters, was Fran's caregiver and was honored to care for her "Mamaw" the last 3 years of her life. The positive impact Frances made on those around her, will live forever. She peacefully passed at St. Ann's Hospital on January 29th, 2026.

Visitation is scheduled Wednesday, February 4 from 12 noon to 2 pm with service to immediately follow at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Pastor Priddy, officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
