Frances (Fran) Berkowitz, beloved by everyone who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, positivity and love of life and family.

Fran was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Morris and Nellie Nettis, and sister of the late Joseph and Frank Nettis. She worked as a secretary for many years, most notably for United Engineers, from where she retired to enjoy life with her husband Larry, having fun with friends, travelling, and making many trips to Atlantic City to enjoy the shore and casinos. In recent years she lived at Paul’s Run Retirement Community in northeast Philadelphia, where she made many friends and enjoyed participating in the activities there.

Fran was a constant source of joy, warmth and love to everyone who knew her. She was a true joy to be around and made life brighter for everyone she encountered. Her smile and her laugh were unforgettable, and her positive spirit lifted everyone she encountered. Frances truly loved life. and embraced each day with optimism, gratitude and an open heart.

Above all else, Fran (aka Mom-Mom) found her greatest joy in being with her family. Time spent together meant everything to her and she took immense pride in each and every one of them.

Fran is predeceased by her loving husband Larry Berkowitz and is survived by her three sons- Martin (Rose) Rose, Scott (Gwen) Rose, Jack (Rhonda) Shapey, 7 grandchildren-Nina (Patrick) McHenry, Nathan Rose, Adam (Jenn) Rose, David (Jackie) Rose, Kara (Greg) Dougherty, Josh Shapey, Eric (carol) Bennett and 9 beloved great grandchildren- Micah, Jared, Zoey, Sammy, Zachary, Mackenzie, Everly, Maura, and Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services, Monday, December 22, 2025, 11:30pm at Mt. Sharon Cemetery, 502 E Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064
