Frances Solis Bustoz, 78, of Amarillo, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 1, 2024, in her home surrounded by her adoring family.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral Adoration Chapel, 1200 S. Washington. Following Mass, Frances will be inurned with her beloved husband Paul at Llano Cemetery East.
Frances was born in El Paso, Texas, on October 4, 1945, to Ascencion and Esperanza Solis. The family relocated to Post, Texas, where she attended her formal school years. Where she fell in love with Paul P Bustoz, She and paul were married on march 11th, 1967 and set off on their new journey as husband and wife. The family relocated to Amarillo later that year, where they purchased their first home. After a brief time in Denver, Colorado, they returned to Amarillo, where they planted their roots and raised their family.
Frances was a simple woman and a homebody by her own choice. She cared for her home with great pride. She was deeply devoted to her family and often had them over, where she would spend hours in the kitchen showcasing her incredible ability to cook their favorite meals. She loved nothing more than being in her home, loving on her grandkids. They were her greatest joy in life.
Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, a brother, Raul Solis, and sisters Alicia Varella, Romelia Luna-Valdez, and Mary Quinonez. Those left to cherish her memories are daughters Irma Bustoz, Norma Bustoz and Albert, and Paula Bustoz; sisters Hope Soto, Martha Luna and Raymond, and Susan Sierra and Johnny; brother Ruben Solis and Vicky; as well as her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
