Frances Elaine Carr (81) passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Frances grew up in Blue Springs, MS. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Belden. She was a supervisor for Medicaid and a great Pastor's wife. She loved her kids, gardening flowers, church work, music, painting and working with her husband flipping houses.

Services are 1 pm Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Clyde Pounds, Bro. Todd Bowen and Bro. Andy Milan officiating. Burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Frances is survived by her husband of 61 and a half years, Jimmy D. Carr; her son, Jimmy Leander Carr of Tampa, FL; her daughter, Tomarrah Cummins (Josh) of Frankfurt, KY; her sister, Marilyn Jaunita Rice (John) of Sherman; her grandchildren, Alexa Noelle Carr of Ann Arbor, MI, Logan Leander Carr of Tampa, FL, Sha'Lane Hayes (Tyler) of Clarksville, TN, Reece Ann Smith of Bowling Green, KY and Addison Lane Smith of Bowling Green, KY; and her great-grandchildren, Lyla Grace Hayes, Oliver Wayne Hayes and Emmitt Wayne Hayes of Clarksville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vardis and Eva May Dillard; her sisters, Billy Stringer, Kay Stacks and Joyce Marie Tyler.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Leander Carr, Josh Cummins, John Rice, Logan Carr, Matthew Stringer and Terry Myhand.

In lieu of flowers the family asked to make donations to the International Mission Board and Gideon Bibles.
