Frances Kathleen Shinkle Christofferson

November 8, 1944 - November 22, 2025

Frances "Frankie" Kathleen Shinkle Christofferson returned home peacefully on November 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Los Angeles, California, to Frank Munro Shinkle and Phyllis Kathleen Clive and spent her childhood in both California and Utah, where she learned the values of hard work, thrift, service, and family.

Frances attended school in Orem and worked a variety of jobs before beginning her long and fulfilling career at Taylor's Department Store, eventually becoming Office Manager. In 1965 she met the love of her life, Gary Christofferson, and they married on July 1, 1967. Together they built a beautiful life, including their dream home on the Christofferson family farm in Lehi.

Her greatest joy came in 1976 with the adoption of their son, David. After several years devoted to motherhood, she later worked at Hadfield Irrigation and then for the City of Lehi in the zoning and planning department for 22 years, retiring in 2016. She was admired for her diligence, kindness, and steady leadership.

Frankie loved the outdoors, especially Yellowstone, and enjoyed fly fishing, time with Gary, good food, and every moment spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband Gary; her son David (Janel); grandchildren Danika (Chase) Andersen, Layton, Dylenn (Casey Newman), Jaycie, and Linkin; bonus grandchildren Caela (Cole) Mecham, Brielle West, and Zoe West; and great-grandchildren Winnie and Wells. She is also survived by her sister Sandy (Dave) Holliman, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Covington Care Facility for their loving care during the past year.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 9681 N 6900 West, Highland, Utah. Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Lehi Cemetery.
