Frances P. (Cottone) Chunko, 64, of Hatfield, PA; formerly of Norristown, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, Kerry and her loving mother, Rose Cottone on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA.
Frances was the loving wife of Kerry L. Chunko for 36 years. Frances was born in Norristown, PA to Rose Cottone of Norristown, PA and the late Gus Cottone.
She graduated from Norristown High School, class of 1977. Frances studied word processing and graduated from Central Montco Technical Institute High School in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
She was employed as a word processor for Stout Brothers from 1998 to 2009. Frances was employed at various other places in Montgomery County, until retiring in 2020.
Frances attended the Valley View Bible Church in Telford, PA and was a volunteer for the Zion Mennonite Church of Souderton, PA.
She will be remembered for her good cooking and sharing it with others. Frances enjoyed playing all types of card games, especially with her friends at the Zion Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, Kerry, she is survived by her brother Gus A. Cottone II of Collegeville, PA.
Frances was preceded in death her brother, Paul Cottone.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
