Nashville Funeral and CremationClara Frances Patrick Clark, daughter of Hickman and Elise Sams Patrick was born on October 31, 1942 and died January 23, 2026. She was born in Booneville, KY, attended Georgetown College, and spent her adult life in Nashville, TN, where she and the love of her life, Anderson Clark, founded the International English Institute. Her passions were learning, teaching, exploring the world, music and researching family history. She was blessed to live her life in a close-knit family, which was her pride and joy. Raised in a Christian home, she was blessed to know of the love of God from birth. At age nine she made a formal statement of her faith in Jesus Christ and began a life-long commitment to learning to love God and her fellow human beings from all walks of life, living in God’s omniscient, omnipotent, eternal Love and sharing that Love with others. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Anne Patrick Crawford. She is survived by her husband, Ande; daughters, Anne Elise Clark Napier (Kelly) and Mary Frances Clark (Andy); grandchildren, Lilliana Elise Napier Peterson (Greger), Michaela Anne Napier, Anderson Rio Napier (Hannah); Siblings, Peggy Branam and Bill Patrick (Twana) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7 at Belmont Church in Nashville at 1 pm with visitation preceding from 11-1. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders and Habitat for Humanity.
