Frances "Nancy" Corboy nee Great, 91, of Chicago, Naples, FL and Lake Geneva, WI, died peacefully surrounded by family. Nancy raised her children on the northwest side of Chicago in Edison Park. Since the 1990s, she spent her winters in Naples and cherished her summers in Lake Geneva.
Frances Great was born in Chicago, IL. She married Daniel W. Corboy on November 28, 1959, in Chicago. Their marriage lasted more than fifty years. Nancy supported Dan through his years with the Chicago Police Department. Together they built a life centered on family, faith and steady commitment.
Nancy devoted herself to raising their children and staying closely connected to extended family. She enjoyed time between Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida. She took pride in her home, her traditions and the gatherings that brought everyone together. She shared a warm sense of humor and a steady presence that grounded the people around her.
Nancy is survived by her children Karen Corboy of Villa Park, IL and Daniel (Jacqueline) Corboy, M.D. of Wilmette, IL. Proud grandmother of Jordana (Nick) Perri of West Chicago, IL, Anthony (Samantha) Lorenzo of Plainfield, IL, and Colin and Aidan Corboy of Wilmette, IL. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and grandchildren in the Chicagoland area. She was preceded in death by her husband retired Captain Daniel W. Corboy, C.P.D. and her brothers Al Great and Walter Great.
Visitation, Saturday, January 3, 2026, 9:30 until time Funeral Mass, 10:00 am at Saint Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N Oketo Avenue, Chicago, IL 60631. Interment private, All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines
