Frances Cornelius Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Cornelius Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Hickman County, Kentucky she was born on December 24, 1941 the daughter of the late Walter Eugene Townsend and Estelle Greer Townsend. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Roger Cornelius, her sister, Mildred "Sue" Sabon and her brother, James Franklin Nance.
She was a member of Bainbridge Grove Missionary Baptist Church and worked in the cafeteria at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for 33 years.
Survivors include her son: Robert Dale (John Morrison) Kimmons of Chicago, Illinois; her sisters, Betty Beaulac and Katherine Lindsey.
Contributions may take the form of donations to Bainbridge Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cerulean, Kentucky.
