Frances D'Alessandro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc. on Feb. 25, 2026.
Frances D'Alessandro

April 23, 1933 – February 23, 2026

Frances D'Alessandro (Del Peschio), age 92, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. Frances was born in Pietraferrazzana, Italy on April 23, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Agata and Giacomo Del Peschio and beloved sister to the late Vincent Del Peschio. Frances emigrated with her family in 1946 where she made Yonkers, New York her lifelong home. Fearless and determined, she learned English quickly and built a full life grounded in hard work, faith, and love. Frances was proud of her Italian roots and equally proud to be an American. A gifted seamstress, Frances formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was known for her generous heart, quiet strength, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her home and her spirit were always open to others. She never wavered no matter what life threw her way. Frances possessed an abundance of resilience.

Frances met the love of her life, the late Lawrence Joseph D'Alessandro, and they were married on September 16, 1956. Frances and Lawrence worked together tirelessly and with the utmost love in their hearts for each other and their three children. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lorraine Mary Travis in 2011 and son, Anthony Joseph D'Alessandro in 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Linda D'Alessandro LaRocca. Frances is survived by her three grandchildren, Gerard Travis (Crystal), Scott Vincent LaRocca and Adriana Maria LaRocca. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Gerard Travis. Frances is also survived by many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to Frances' heart.
