Concetta D'Alessandro

D'Alessandro, Concetta (nee: Giudice), age 77, of Hawthorne, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Born and raised in Floridia, Sicily, Concetta immigrated to the United States in 1967, initially settling in Paterson before moving to Hawthorne where she lived for more than 55 years. Concetta began working as a seamstress at Sealfons before continuing her work at Mac Hughs, both in Ridgewood. After graduating from the Berkeley School of Business, she worked as an office manager for Richard Sheeler, CPA. Concetta was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church. After surviving cancer, she joined Valley Yarn Works at Valley Hospital, knitting blankets for many chemotherapy patients.

Concetta was the beloved wife of Ciro D'Alessandro of Hawthorne. Loving mother of Ralph D'Alessandro of Hawthorne and Carmela Calbi and her husband Richard of Glen Rock. Dear grandmother of Marisa Concetta Calbi and Cara Carmela Calbi. Dearest sister of Vincenzo Giudice and Salvina Giudice. Concetta is also survived by her granddog Lily and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will depart at 9:00am on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne for a 9:30am funeral mass at St. Anthony R.C. Church in Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Twp. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7pm.
