Frances Moxley Eiland, 77, of Delaware, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, May 21, 2025 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus with her loving son by her side.
She was born May 18, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Herbert and Marie (Bennett) Moxley and graduated from Central High School. After obtaining her master's degree, she worked and retired from Abbott Labs in Casa Grande, Arizona and then worked as a teacher in the Casa Grande school system.
Frances was a devoted member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. An avid golfer, she also enjoying fishing, speaking and preaching, and enjoying her favorite drink - Tequila. She never met a stranger and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Mimi.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jason Eiland; grandchildren, Miesha Carey, Morgan Burke, Casey Eiland, Nicki Alfano, and Blake Allen Thomas Eiland; brothers, George, Clifton and Thomas Moxley, and J.J. Bates; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Frances was also preceded in death by her sisters Rosemary and Maryann and her brother Herbert Jr.
Private Celebration of Life services for Frances will be held at a later date.
The Snyder Funeral Center, Delaware Chapel is honored to assist the Eiland family.

I so enjoyed bowling with Francis in the 70's, maybe the 80's, so long ago. She was so much fun to be around, we kept each other laughing. So sorry to hear this. Sending prayers to the family.
