Frances Jean "Sue" Fronce, age 84, of Palmyra, died early Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023, at Hospice of Lenawee. She was born June 21, 1939, in Adrian, to Paul and Dorothy (Kahn) Murty.
She earned her Bachelor of Philosophy Degree at Siena heights College. On August 18, 1962, she married Floyd H. "Pete" Fronce in Adrian. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2016. Sue had been employed by Adrian Public schools as a teacher at Garfield and Prairie Schools, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, MEA and NEA Retired School Personnel, and the Senior Citizens Book Club. Sue enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, and painting.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Joseph Fronce of Adrian and Peter Donald (Christine) Fronce of Sturgis; a daughter, Susan Marie Fronce of Adrian; and five grandchildren, Gabriele, Seth, Asa, Isaiah, and Jada Fronce of Sturgis, MI. In addition to her husband, Sue was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with her son, Peter Fronce officiating. Visitation will take place also on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Per Sue's wishes, cremation will follow with burial of cremated remains in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
