Funeral Services for Frances Lucille Allen Gaultney, 87, of Plains, will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia, with the Rev. Colton Taunton officiating. A meal will be served after the service with the burial to follow at Midway Cemetery in Butler, Georgia. Mrs. Gaultney passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her residence after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. Mrs. Gaultney was a homemaker and the mother of seven children. She took her children to church faithfully which provided them with a good foundation and respect for God. She loved music and sang in the church choir in her younger years. She also directed the children's choir when she was younger.

Mrs. Gaultney lived in several states as the wife of a servicemember before finally settling in her native state of Georgia. She worked as a telephone operator, a PreK Teacher's Aide, as a sales associate at Belk for about six years and worked in the cafeteria at Sumter County High for 10 years after her children were grown.

Mrs. Gaultney was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Bobby L. Gaultney, her daughter Elizabeth Dawn Gaultney and her sister, Jeanette Forbes. Survivors include three daughters; Melody Johnson of Tifton, Lorrie (Michael) Brewer of Columbus and Doris (Allen) Harden of Ellaville; three sons, Dallas Gaultney of Plains, Vincent Gaultney of Opelika and Charles (Mary) Gaultney of Plains, 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and again at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Americus before the service.
