Frances T. Gordon-Wylie ObituaryFrances Theresa (Terry) Gordon-Wylie, 82, of Ocean Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025- her 63rd wedding anniversary. She was surrounded by her loving family, who have been a constant support to her, as she battled Alzheimer's Disease. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, she fell in love with Donald "Gordie" while he was overseas serving in the military. After marrying, and living in England for a few years, they moved to the states, making Ocean Township their home for the past 50 years.
She was a caring wife, and always looked her best each day, they enjoyed traveling and wining and dining. They spent all of their time together. They truly were the best of friends. An amazing cook, she often entertained friends and family. She loved to make people happy, and enjoyed all the precious moments spent with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew her, would describe her as kind, radiant, selfless, vibrant and energetic. She always enjoyed having a good time, and put the "happy" into happy hour, while relaxing with a glass of wine at a local pub, and connecting with everyone around her.
Her happy place was also the beach and she would spend her summers there as often as she could. As walking and exercise were a favorite activity each day, she could be seen walking along the ocean during each beach day. She also loved her years working at Dean's Natural Food Market, alongside her family, for 25 years. Everyone knew her as she greeted everyone with her bright, beautiful smile.
Terry was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Frank. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald "Gordie"; her daughter, Loretta Nelson (Dean); her son, Christopher Gordon-Wylie (Debbie); her 3 grandchildren, Ryan Nelson, Eric Nelson (Nikki), and Kelly Gordon-Wylie; her great-grandchildren, Wesley and Hudson Nelson; her siblings, Ignatius and Yvonne and 6 nieces and 1 nephew.
