Frances Annette "Owens" Griffin

Frances Owens Griffin, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Visitation will be at 2:00 – 3:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Carlisle Funeral Home with the service following at 3:00pm in the Chapel with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating the service. Music will be provided by the Bridges Family.

Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was a faithful 20 year member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, NC.

She spent many years working in insurance, filling claims at Nash General Hospital and later working with Coastal Plain Life Insurance.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Lee Owens and Inez Sullivan; husband, Charlie G. Narron Sr.; and brother, Vernon Lee Owens Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Linwood Griffin; son, Charlie Graham Narron Jr. (Shannon); grandchild, Olivia Annette Narron (TJ) ; stepdaughter, Karen Arrington; sisters, Geraldine Price and Rachel May Taylor; closest friend, Carolyn Bridges (Donald); and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
