Inez Hamilton, 85, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 01, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Milwee officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.
Born on February 16, 1940, to Joseph "Herschell" and Mary "Ethel" Tanner Webb. Inez was a member of Mount View Baptist Church, participated in the choir, nursery worker, and an avid volunteer of several ministry programs. Inez was an avid bible reader, enjoyed traveling, cross stitching, word puzzles, dominoes, but most of all being with her grandson, Logan Tyde.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Billy Hamilton; one son, Brad (Mayme) Hamilton; grandson, Logan Tyde Hamilton, grandchildren-in-love, Joey Rutherford and Julie Rutherford; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph "Herschell" and Mary "Ethel" Tanner Webb; mother and father-in-law, David and Pearl Hamilton; two brothers, Harold (Marie) Webb and Archie (Amy) Webb; one sister, Wilma (Elbert) Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Logan Tyde Hamilton, Joey Rutherford, Greg Dutton, Kevin Robinson, Ken Webb, and Lyndon McWhorter.
Honorary Pallbearers are Harce Hill, Roger Weatherwax, Roger Engle, Garry Buttram, Wessley Rutherford, Baine Garner, Rockie Compton, Jim Knop, and the Deacons of Mount View Baptist Church.
The family extends special thanks to the Dr.'s, nurses, and staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital, and our friends and family for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital and Mount View Baptist Church P.O. Box 393 Trinity, AL 35673.
