Mrs. Hearn was born December 31, 1929, in Salem, AL daughter of the late Charles Culberson Wooten and Thelma Corbitt Wooten. She loved to cook, sing and be with her family. Mrs. Hearn was an active member of Concord Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years rocking babies, something she deeply enjoyed.
While she has gone to her heavenly home, we will miss her greatly. However, we take great comfort in knowing she is reunited with our dad or “Pop” as he was known to almost everyone and her son, Robert and other family members in heaven.
Mrs. Hearn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Wooten; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ruby Wooten; her husband of 69 years, Billy Alonza Hearn and a son, Robert Edwin Hearn.
Survivors include her five children, Amanda Ann Washington and husband Stanley of Jackson, GA, Charles “Charlie” Richard Hearn and wife Cindy of Hampton, GA, Billy Hearn, Jr. of Louisville, KY, Linda Marie Wadkins and husband Bobby of Smiths Station, AL and Christie Renee McKemie and husband Mike of Valley, AL; daughter-in-law, Elaine Hearn of Stewart, GA, fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
